
Security guard arrested for alleged theft of motor parts in Ogun
A 32-year-old security guard, Friday Ayuba, has been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly stealing motor spare parts from his employer. The arrest was made after a report was filed by the company’s manager, leading to the recovery of several stolen items. The suspect reportedly admitted to the theft during the investigation. Bode Ojajuni, the Commissioner of Police, praised the swift action of the police and encouraged the public to stay vigilant.
What happened
- The arrest followed a report received at the Owode-Egba Division on 30th May 2026 at about 6:00 pm from the company’s manager.
- Friday Ayuba was apprehended by the Quick Response Squad at the Sagamu Interchange while allegedly moving company property without authorisation.
- Recovered items included four air controls, two air boosters, two engine seats, and two fuel pumps, all belonging to the company.
- The suspect admitted to the theft during the investigation, and the items were secured as exhibits.
- Bode Ojajuni commended the company and police teams for their vigilance and urged the public to promptly report suspicious activities.
