Over 3,100 Nigerians brought home as Sudan conflict continues
At least 3,108 Nigerians have been evacuated from Sudan since the civil war erupted in the country. The Federal Government and the International Organisation for Migration coordinated the evacuation, which included students, elderly people, and those who lost their livelihoods. The returnees received various forms of support upon arrival in Nigeria. The security situation in Sudan remains unstable, and the exact number of Nigerians still in the country is unknown.
