Umuahia bus terminal named after FUTO vice-chancellor
Abia State Governor Alex Otti has inaugurated the newly completed Umuahia Central Bus Terminal, a major transport facility in the state capital. The terminal was renamed in honour of Prof. Nnenna Nnannaya-Oti, the first female Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, for her role as INEC returning officer in the 2023 governorship election. Otti praised her courage and integrity during the election, stating that the recognition symbolises the efforts of all who upheld the electoral process. The project is part of the administration’s broader urban transport reforms.
