
NSCDC arrests 10 suspected criminals in Kano
Operatives of the Kano State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps have arrested 10 individuals suspected of crimes including vandalism and theft. According to a statement by SC Ibrahim Abdullahi, the arrests took place at various locations across the state. The suspects were paraded by Commandant Mohammed Hassan Agalama IION at the command’s headquarters. Recovered items included conductor cables, handsets, copper wire, and dangerous weapons.
What happened
- The Kano State Command of the NSCDC apprehended 10 suspected members of criminal gangs for alleged involvement in vandalism, theft, conspiracy, trespass, and receiving stolen property.
- Arrests occurred in areas such as Gwarmai, Ghari local government area, Challawa industrial area, Unguwar Rimi, and Waratallawa in Kumbotso local government area.
- Exhibits recovered included 200 metres of aluminium conductor cables, handsets, copper wire, power banks, and weapons like knives, cutlass, sword, and scissors.
- Investigations have been concluded and the suspects are expected to be charged in court for prosecution.
- The commandant emphasized the corps’ commitment to protecting national assets and urged residents to support security agencies with information.
