NSCDC shuts Chinese firms over alleged railway theft
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has sealed the facilities of two Chinese companies, Inner Galaxy Steel Company and Jiuxing Integrity Industrial Ltd, over alleged involvement in railway infrastructure theft. The action comes after the NSCDC uncovered a syndicate accused of vandalising national infrastructure. Afolabi Babawale, the NSCDC’s National Public Relations Officer, stated that a comprehensive court order was obtained to seal all branches of the companies. Chinese nationals linked to the firms have been summoned but have not yet appeared before investigators.
