Police detain 17 over alleged cult activities in Anambra
Seventeen male suspects have been arrested by the Anambra State Police Command for alleged involvement in cult-related activities and public disturbance. The arrests were made during raids at several hideouts in Awka, with items such as suspected Cannabis sativa and other exhibits recovered. Tochukwu Ikenga, the command’s spokesperson, disclosed the operation and stated that preliminary interrogation linked the suspects to the Vikings Confraternity. The police have launched a full-scale investigation into the matter.
