FRSC advises motorists on alternative routes amid highway congestion
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has issued a travel advisory for motorists on the Abuja–Kaduna Highway due to heavy congestion linked to Eid-el-Kabir travel and ongoing road construction. The most affected area is the Nasarawa–Azara axis between Katari and Jere, where traffic has slowed significantly. FRSC recommends alternative routes and urges drivers to obey traffic regulations and avoid reckless driving. The Corps also announced nationwide Special Patrol Operations to enhance road safety during the festive period.
What happened
- FRSC highlighted severe congestion on the Abuja–Kaduna Highway, especially around the Nasarawa–Azara axis between Katari and Jere.
