
Tinubu dominates APC primary as Osifo gets few votes
Stanley Osifo, the only challenger to President Bola Tinubu in the All Progressives Congress presidential primary, failed to secure any votes in several key states. The results were announced at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja. Tinubu swept all votes in multiple states, while Osifo managed to get some votes in a few others. The nationwide direct primary was conducted across all 8,809 wards on Saturday, May 23, 2026.

- Stanley Osifo scored zero votes in the Federal Capital Territory, Delta, Kogi, Ebonyi, Kwara, Borno, Kebbi, Edo, Enugu, Katsina, Kaduna, and Jigawa states.
- In the FCT, all 36,103 votes went to Tinubu, with Osifo receiving none.
- In Kogi, all 197,370 votes went to Tinubu, and in Delta, he received all 407,646 votes.
- Osifo received a few votes in states like Anambra (383), Abia (1,007), Kano (2,675), Katsina (229), and Oyo (929).
- The primary took place on Saturday, May 23, 2026, and the final declaration will be followed by the presentation of the party’s certificate of return and flag to Tinubu.
