Keyamo outlines five steps to boost African aviation
Festus Keyamo, Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, has identified five main priorities to improve air connectivity across Africa. Speaking at an event in Abuja, he stressed that aviation should be seen as essential economic infrastructure, not a luxury. Olubunmi Kuku, Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, represented him and highlighted the need for deliberate efforts to enhance movement across African borders. The call was made before policymakers, aviation professionals, diplomats, and industry stakeholders.
