Olubadan stops demolition of houses after landlords’ appeal
The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Rashidi Ladoja, has intervened to halt the planned demolition of about 186 houses in the Isokan Estate Extension area of Ibadan. Landlords approached the monarch after their rooftops were removed following a court judgment in favour of Mogaji Olopade Taofeek Abiola. The Olubadan allowed residents to repair their rooftops and warned land grabbers to stay away from the disputed land. He also commended the police for their prompt intervention in preventing further escalation.
