Africom shares video of airstrikes on ISIS militants in Nigeria
The United States Africa Command (AFRICOM) has released video footage of air strikes targeting ISIS militants in North-East Nigeria. The strikes, conducted in coordination with the Nigerian government, reportedly killed over 20 ISIS/ISWAP fighters. The operation aimed to weaken ISIS’s ability to plan attacks against the US and its allies. Both President Bola Tinubu and former US President Donald Trump have previously confirmed joint counterterrorism efforts in the region.
