Police detain three over abduction of Rivers children
Three people have been arrested by the Abia State Police Command for allegedly abducting two toddlers from Rivers State. The suspects, Vera Imiobong Udoyang, Chioma Duru Ukanwoke, and Ezinne Ukandu, were apprehended after police acted on credible intelligence. - Udoyang confessed to luring the children with doughnuts and soft drinks at Ozoaporo in Okrika, Rivers State.
- The abduction was allegedly coordinated with Chioma Duru Ukanwoke and Ezinne Ukandu, who were also arrested.
- A welfare officer known as Chioma, said to have initiated the illegal adoption, is still at large.
