PenCom launches free healthcare for low-income pensioners
The National Pension Commission has started a pilot healthcare scheme called PenCare for low-income pensioners under the Contributory Pension Scheme. The initiative targets retirees aged 60 and above who receive monthly pensions of N70,000 or less. Registration is open for up to 30,000 eligible retirees nationwide. Muhammed Ahmad has been named chairman of the Board of Trustees for PenCare.
