Army rescues abducted women and children, arrests terror suspects
The Nigerian Army has rescued six women and children abducted by Boko Haram/ISWAP in the North-East. Troops also neutralised terrorists and arrested suspected collaborators during ongoing operations. The Army credited these successes to coordinated offensives and credible intelligence. The rescued victims have received medical attention and have been reunited with their families.

- Troops of Operation HADIN KAI rescued six abducted women and children from Ngoshe community during an operation along the Amuda–Gava corridor in the Mandara Mountains axis on May 14, 2026.
- The rescued victims are Amina Salihu, Aishatu Musa, twin sisters Hassana and Hussaina Abubakar, Adamu Zakariyya, and Usman Zakariyya.
- The Army stated that a total of sixty women and children have been rescued since the attack on Ngoshe community on March 3, 2026.
- In Konduga Local Government Area, troops neutralised two Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists and recovered logistics supplies believed to be for insurgents.
- A suspected Boko Haram collaborator, Ibrahim Alhaji Julo, was arrested at Mainé checkpoint in Yobe State, with a mobile phone and money recovered from him.
