Driver arrested after allegedly killing bishop and fleeing with car
A driver working for a Pentecostal bishop in Asaba, Delta State, has been arrested for allegedly killing his employer and fleeing with his vehicle. The suspect was apprehended in Nkpor, Anambra State, while attempting to sell the stolen Toyota Prado Jeep. CP Ikioye Orutugu of the Anambra Police Command confirmed the arrest and stated that investigations are ongoing. The police are working to apprehend other suspects involved in the crime.
What happened
- The driver, employed by a Pentecostal bishop of End-Reconciliation Ministry, allegedly murdered his employer and took his Toyota Prado Jeep.
- He was arrested in Nkpor, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, while trying to sell the stolen vehicle.
- CP Ikioye Orutugu said the arrest was made through a swift, intelligence-led operation by the Rapid Response Squad, Awkuzu.
