
Police arrest two for looting at Akwa Ibom accident scene
Two suspected vandals were arrested by the Akwa Ibom State Police Command for allegedly stealing items from a truck involved in an accident along the Calabar–Itu Highway. DSP Timfon John confirmed the arrests in a statement, noting that one of the suspects, Adamu Hamza, was found with four suspected stolen truck tyres. Further investigation led to the arrest of a tricycle operator, Anthony James, who allegedly helped transport the stolen goods. The police are still searching for other accomplices and have urged the public to remain vigilant.
