
Eight killed in suspected cult attack in Makurdi
At least eight people were reportedly killed by suspected cultists in the Aliade Street area of Makurdi, Benue State. According to a resident, the attack occurred in the early hours of the day when armed men invaded a house and shot several people. Joseph Keffi, Chairman of Makurdi Local Government Area, confirmed the incident and described it as cult-related. Ifeanyi Emenari, the Commissioner of Police, stated that the casualty figure might be lower than reported.
What happened
