ASUU threatens new strike over delayed agreement implementation
The Academic Staff Union of Universities has warned of possible fresh industrial action if the Federal Government and state governments do not fully implement the December 2025 agreement. ASUU expressed dissatisfaction with the current state of implementation after its National Executive Council meeting at Modibbo Adama University, Yola. The union criticised both federal and state authorities for selective and uncoordinated compliance. ASUU called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene and address outstanding welfare and policy issues.
