
Police arrest two for alleged arms supply in Akwa Ibom
Two suspected arms suppliers, Udeme Udo and Nkereuwem Udo, have been arrested by officers of the Akwa Ibom State Police Command. The suspects were apprehended on May 8, 2026, in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area after police received credible intelligence. A locally made revolver pistol was recovered from them during the operation. The police have reiterated their commitment to tackling illegal arms networks in the state.
