
Police detain two men for alleged robbery in Bauchi
Two suspects have been arrested by the Bauchi State Police Command for alleged armed robbery and conspiracy. Moh’d Sani and Sani Lawan were found with a stolen motorcycle and linked to a previous robbery. The police say the suspects attacked Mustapha Tukur and took his motorcycle. Investigations are ongoing, and the suspects have been moved to the State Criminal Investigation Department.
What happened
- On 4th May, 2026, police arrested Moh’d Sani and Sani Lawan in Ningi Division, recovering a red Boxer motorcycle.
- Further investigation revealed the suspects attacked Mustapha Tukur on 17th February, 2026, in the bush area of Bukutumbe Village, Ningi LGA.
- The suspects allegedly conspired and forcefully dispossessed the victim of his motorcycle before fleeing.
- The suspects have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation and prosecution.
- The Commissioner of Police, Sani-Omolori Aliyu, reaffirmed the command’s commitment to tackling crime and urged residents to report suspicious activities.
