Michael Okpara varsity urges new vets to prioritise food safety
The Vice-Chancellor of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Prof. Ursula Ngozi Akanwa, has called on newly inducted veterinary doctors to uphold professional ethics and focus on food safety and public health. The charge was delivered during the university’s 12th Induction and Oath-taking Ceremony for Doctor of Veterinary Medicine graduands. Prof. Akanwa highlighted the importance of veterinarians in ensuring animal health and supporting national food security. The event also recognised outstanding graduates and the university’s collaborations with industry partners.
