NSCDC opens new Agro Rangers base to protect Gombe farmlands
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has inaugurated a new Agro Rangers base in the Kanawa Forest Reserve, Yamaltu/Deba Local Government Area. The facility aims to strengthen the protection of agricultural assets and address herder–farmer conflicts in Gombe State. Jibrin Idris, the state Commandant of NSCDC, highlighted the base as a strategic intervention to safeguard agro-allied investments. The project was supported by the Gombe State Government and the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACRESAL) Project.
