Osun launches free artificial limb programme for amputees
The Osun State Government has announced a new humanitarian initiative to provide free artificial limbs to 1,000 amputees. The programme, led by Governor Ademola Adeleke, aims to restore mobility and dignity to beneficiaries across the state. According to Kamil Aransi, the Special Adviser on Special Needs to the Governor, this is the first time such an initiative is being implemented in the state. The intervention is in line with the Osun State Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities (Prohibition) Law, 2024.
