What happened
- Abule, a 35-year-old man, was arrested for allegedly defiling a 12-year-old girl in the Araromi area of Molete, Ibadan.
- The girl was reportedly lured into an uncompleted building while collecting payment for snacks she sold.
- The case was transferred to the Gender Department for further investigation, as directed by Abimbola Olugbenga.
- In a separate case, Basiru Rasheed Orelope is under investigation after allegedly bringing the lifeless body of Rukayat Rafiu to a residence, with no visible marks of violence found.
- The police also confirmed the death of 25-year-old Umar Yahúza in a lone accident at a Border Patrol checkpoint, leading to the detention of two officers and ongoing investigation.
