- The principal suspect, Anyankpele Ebiowei, was arrested in Warri, leading to the arrest of Alhaji Jibo Aluseyni and Hassan Mumuni, who allegedly bought the bus.
- The bus was reportedly resold through Sefiu Abbas to a Lagos auto dealer, Alhaji Sikiru Jimoh, for ₦38 million; Jimoh is still at large.
- Additional arrests were made for attempted armed robbery, illegal possession of firearms, and other offences, with weapons and dangerous items recovered.
