
Police foil bandit attack and rescue victims in Katsina
The Katsina State Police Command has stopped a bandit attack in Dandume Local Government Area. Officers arrested one suspected bandit and rescued two injured residents after receiving a distress call. The police engaged the attackers in a gun battle, forcing them to flee. - On April 28th, 2026, at about 10:00 pm, police received a distress call about the invasion by heavily armed bandits.
- The Divisional Police Officer led a team that engaged the bandits, repelling the attack and arresting one suspect.
- Two residents were shot and injured by the bandits but are currently receiving medical treatment.
