
Seven villagers killed in attack on Benue community
At least seven people were reportedly killed in Channel One community, Logo Local Government Area of Benue State, following an attack by suspected armed herders. According to residents, the assailants invaded the area late at night, causing panic and forcing villagers to flee. Community leaders and local officials confirmed the casualties and injuries, with several victims receiving treatment in nearby towns. DSP Udeme Edet, spokesperson for the state Police Command, stated that she had not yet received a full report on the incident.
