
Kukah urges Nigerians not to call him Hausa man
Most Rev. Dr Matthew Kukah, Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese and Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, has asked Nigerians to stop referring to him as a Hausa man. Kukah clarified that he is a typical Nigerian from Kaduna State, but not of Hausa origin. He made this statement during his installation as Chancellor at the university’s convocation ceremony. Kukah also commended the Anambra State government for its commitment to education and encouraged graduates to be of good character.
