
Police rescue kidnapped toddler and arrest suspects in Kano
A two-year-old boy, Aliyu Muhammad, was rescued by the Kano State Police Command after being abducted in front of his home. The police arrested three suspects and recovered part of the ransom paid by the victim’s family. The operation was led by the Anti-Kidnapping Squad under the directive of Commissioner Ibrahim Bakori. The child was found unharmed and reunited with his family.
What happened
- Aliyu Muhammad was abducted in front of his residence in Gwammaja Quarters, Dala Local Government Area.
- The suspects demanded a ransom of ₦1,000,000 from the family, which was paid, but the child was not released.
- The police traced and arrested three suspects: Hassan Umar, Abdullahi Hamisu, and Hussaini Saminu.
- The victim was rescued unhurt from the residence of Hussaini Saminu and reunited with his family.
- Police recovered ₦930,000, part of the ransom, and commended the operatives for their professionalism.
