Ganduje links rise in northern beggars to neglect of people with disabilities
Former Kano State governor Abdullahi Ganduje has blamed the increasing number of beggars in Northern Nigeria on the neglect of persons with disabilities (PWDs). Speaking at a documentary premiere in Abuja, he highlighted the systemic marginalisation faced by PWDs and its impact on their confidence and opportunities. Ganduje and other speakers called for greater government and stakeholder intervention to promote inclusion and empowerment. The event also celebrated a decade of advocacy by the organisation Let’s Talk Humanity.
