Traditional ruler and family members killed in Benue community attack
The Olegabulu community in Agatu Local Government Area of Benue State has been thrown into mourning after gunmen killed its traditional ruler, Chief Momo Awodi, his wife Abigail, and their son. The attackers reportedly arrived on motorcycles and blended in with residents before launching the assault. Local authorities confirmed that five people were killed and one person was injured in the incident. Security operatives have since visited the scene, while police await an official report.
