Female Man O’War officer killed in Oyo highway ambush
A tragic incident occurred when gunmen suspected to be kidnappers ambushed commuters along the Ibadan–Ago-Iwoye Expressway. Dasola Sanusi, a female Man O’War officer, was killed in the attack, while other officers sustained injuries and trauma. What happened
- Dasola Sanusi, a Man O’War officer, was killed after gunmen ambushed vehicles along the Ibadan–Ago-Iwoye Expressway.
- The attack occurred at about 6:30 pm on April 18, 2026, shortly after the officers passed the Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria area.
- Other officers, including one identified as Emmanuel, sustained gunshot wounds and were rushed to a hospital in Ago-Iwoye.
- Two additional female officers were hospitalised due to trauma from the incident.
- The Oyo State Police and Man O’War have confirmed the attack and stated that investigations are ongoing.
