Soludo names new governing council for Ojukwu University
Chukwuma Soludo, the Anambra State governor, has appointed Prof. Peter Azikiwe Onwualu as Chairman/Pro-Chancellor of the Governing Council for Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Igbariam. Onwualu is known for his extensive experience in agricultural engineering and academic leadership. Four others were also named as members of the council. The appointees are expected to enhance the university's vision and academic excellence.

- Prof. Peter Azikiwe Onwualu was appointed as Chairman/Pro-Chancellor of the university’s Governing Council.
- Other appointed members include Chief Christopher Ndubuisi, HRH Igwe Chidiume Oranu, Prof. Josephat O. Ogbuagu, and AIG (retd.) Sir Chris Ezike.
- Onwualu is the current Vice Chancellor of African University of Science and Technology, Abuja, and a former DG/CEO of the Raw Materials Research and Development Council.
- He has held significant positions, including Visiting Professor at the National Universities Commission and Co-Centre Leader at the Pan African Materials Institute.
- The new council members are expected to contribute their diverse experiences to improve the university’s governance and academic standards.
