
Man arrested in Lagos for impersonating lawyer and forging NBA seal
A 55-year-old man, John Anoruo, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for allegedly impersonating a legal practitioner and using a forged Nigerian Bar Association seal. He was apprehended after submitting suspicious documents during a dispute involving Global West Vessel Specialist Nigeria Limited. Investigations revealed that the seal on his documents was not authentic, and he later confessed to obtaining it from a business centre. Anoruo also admitted he never attended the Nigerian Law School, which is required to practice law in Nigeria.
