Pastor arrested in Nasarawa for allegedly defiling minor
A pastor identified as Asonye Isaiah has been arrested by police in Nasarawa State for allegedly defiling a 16-year-old girl. The arrest was made after a complaint was lodged at the Karshi Divisional Headquarters. According to the police, Asonye Isaiah deceived the victim's aunt under false pretenses and committed the act in a hotel. The case has been transferred for further investigation.

- Preliminary investigation revealed the suspect deceived the victim’s aunt, claiming her niece was “possessed” and needed cleansing at a river.
- Instead, he took the victim to a hotel in New Karshi, where he allegedly defiled her twice and threatened her.
- The state Commissioner of Police, Shetima Mohammed, has ordered the case transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for comprehensive investigation and prosecution.
