Zamfara guards stop explosives and cash headed for bandit camp
Members of the Zamfara State Community Protection Guards have intercepted a commercial driver transporting 98 explosive devices, ₦13 million, and three motorcycles allegedly destined for a bandits’ camp in Bindin village. The suspect, Abubakar Abdullahi, was stopped along the Gusau–Dansadau road and his vehicle was searched. The Commandant, Mohammed Shehu Dalijan, said the items were intended for illegal miners, who are believed to be linked to bandit groups. Authorities have also arrested eight others for questioning in connection with the case.
