
Fire incidents damage restaurant and home in Anambra
Several fire outbreaks have caused significant damage to a restaurant and a residential building in Awka, Anambra State. What happened
- A fire broke out at Restaurants House behind Old English, Agu-Awka, damaging roofs, furniture, and equipment before firefighters arrived.
- The Anambra State Fire Service received a distress call at approximately 0045 hours of Wednesday, 15th April, 2026, and quickly contained the blaze.
- Another fire occurred at No. 22 Street, Ngozika Estate, Awka, with the distress call received at exactly 1245 hours on April 10, 2026.
- Firefighters effectively contained both fires, preventing them from spreading to nearby structures.
- No casualties or injuries were recorded in either incident, and the fire service urged residents to observe fire safety precautions.
