BUA recalls 400 drivers after mediation by Edo monarch
Michael Sado, the Okuokpellagbe of Okpella, has helped resolve a dispute between BUA Cement and over 400 dismissed truck drivers. The conflict had caused significant economic hardship in the Okpella community. Through the monarch’s intervention, the drivers have been reinstated and will receive back pay for the period they were out of work. The talks also included discussions about community development projects promised by BUA Cement.
