Rising insecurity forces residents to flee Kwara South communities
Fresh concerns have been raised by the Kwara South Development Forum over escalating violence in Kwara South. The group, led by acting Speaker Obashola Ayomide Ridwan, criticized authorities for failing to protect residents from killings, kidnappings, and displacement. Several traditional rulers and local vigilantes have become victims of these attacks. Many families are reportedly selling their belongings to pay ransoms, while over 20 communities have been deserted.
