Imala residents urge Ogun governor to fix neglected road
The people of Imala community in Abeokuta North Local Government Area have appealed to Governor Dapo Abiodun to reconstruct the 7.5-kilometre road linking their community to Abeokuta. Residents say the poor state of the road has caused them hardship for years and hindered the area’s socio-economic development. Mr Steven Adetomiwa, the Imala Development Coordinator, highlighted the community’s repeated pleas for government intervention. The road was originally constructed by Chief Obafemi Awolowo in the 1950s.
