WASSCE private exam records highest pass rate in three years
The West African Examinations Council has announced the results of the Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination for Private Candidates, 2026 – First Series. According to Moyosola Adesina, Head of Public Affairs at WAEC, the pass rate reached 32.72 per cent, the highest in three years. Out of 10,523 candidates, 3,429 obtained credit and above in at least five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics. The exam was conducted nationwide between January 28, and February 14, 2026.
