UK announces higher visa and citizenship fees for Nigerians
The United Kingdom government is set to increase fees for various visa, residency, and citizenship applications, impacting Nigerians and other foreign nationals. The revised fee schedule, published by the UK Home Office, shows increases across most categories, including visit, student, work, and settlement visas. In a notable exception, the fee for registering a child as a British citizen will be reduced. All other fees either rise or remain unchanged.

- Some categories, such as the Tier 1 (Investor) visa and the High Potential Individual visa, remain unchanged at £2,000 and £880 respectively.
