New police base launched to improve security in Imo oil area
Efforts to boost security in Imo’s oil-producing communities have taken a step forward with the inauguration of a new police operating base in Assa, Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area. The facility was built and donated by Anoh Gas Processing Company Limited as part of its corporate social responsibility. Audu Bosso, the Imo State Commissioner of Police, praised the initiative and called for community collaboration with security agencies. Community leaders and stakeholders also expressed support for the project, highlighting its importance for safety and development.
