Kano Hisbah detains hundreds for hairstyles and dressing during Sallah
The Kano State Hisbah Board has arrested 583 young men and women for alleged immoral acts during the recent Eid-el-Fitr celebration. The arrests were part of an enforcement drive by the board to curb behaviours considered indecent. Mujahid Aminuddeen, the Deputy Commander-General, disclosed that the operation targeted various actions such as plaiting hair, sporting certain hairstyles, and dressing deemed inappropriate. The board also recovered and reunited 66 missing children with their families during the festivities.
