
Police rescue kidnap victims and foil robbery in Delta
A team from the Delta State Police Command’s Special Anti-Kidnapping and Cyber-Crime Squad raided a kidnap syndicate’s hideout and rescued a 27-year-old woman and other victims. The operation took place along the Ibusa/Ogwashi-Uku forests after intelligence was received about the abduction. Bright Edafe, the Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed that the victims were rescued and taken for medical treatment. In another incident, police arrested a robbery suspect and recovered a weapon after a POS operator was robbed.

- The victims were abducted from Ibusa Community and taken to a building site beside Obosi River on March 12, 2026.
- Aina Adesola, the State Commissioner of Police, directed the rescue operation after receiving intelligence.
- In a separate incident on March 18, police responded to a robbery at Boji Boji Owa and arrested a suspect, Sunday Blessing, recovering a locally made Beretta pistol.
