Nigeria named in report for two of the world’s deadliest terror attacks
Two terrorist attacks in Nigeria have been ranked among the world’s deadliest incidents by the 2026 Global Terrorism Index. The attacks, which took place in Borno State, resulted in significant casualties among villagers and soldiers. The report also highlighted other deadly attacks in Burkina Faso and Niger Republic. Nigeria was noted for having the largest increase in terrorism-related deaths.
