
NDLEA arrests suspect and seizes cannabis in Kano operation
D.Y. Lawal of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) announced the arrest of a suspect and the recovery of 510 blocks of cannabis sativa in Kano. The operation was carried out by the Kano Strategic Command and targeted drug activities ahead of the Eid-el-Fitr celebration. The suspect, Sani Musa, reportedly confessed to being involved in the distribution of the drugs. The NDLEA has assured residents of continued efforts to curb drug trafficking in the state.

- Sani Musa, 34, from Bebeji Local Government Area, was arrested on March 10, 2026, during an intelligence-led operation.
