Police give N2.4bn to families of fallen officers
The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has distributed N2.4 billion in cheques to 1,075 beneficiaries and next-of-kin of deceased police officers. The funds were presented under the Group Life Assurance and IGP Family Welfare Schemes at the Force Headquarters, Abuja. According to the Force Insurance Officer, Lydia Ameh, the payments reflect a commitment to officer welfare and recoveries from long-standing insurance obligations.
