Illegal embassy land buildings in Abuja to be demolished, says Wike

He stated that these structures will be demolished and the land restored to its original use. The affected plots were originally allocated to various diplomatic missions on March 18, 2008, but were seized by an unauthorized developer. Wike emphasized that embassies will be notified to reclaim their plots, and the developer responsible has been arrested.
