NSCDC arrests two suspected bandits in Kwara community
Two suspected bandits have been arrested by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Saminaka, Patigi Local Government Area of Kwara State. The suspects, Abubakar Jubril and Mohammed Abubakar, were apprehended after sustained surveillance by the command. The operation also led to the recovery of a pistol, drugs, and other items. What happened
- The suspects, Abubakar Jubril (28) and Mohammed Abubakar (26), were arrested on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.
- A third suspect escaped and is currently at large, with efforts ongoing to apprehend him.
- Items recovered include a pistol (Serial No. 7886, made in the USA), a mobile phone, suspected tramadol, and cigarettes.
- The suspects were paraded on Friday, March 6, 2026, by Bala Bodinga, who warned criminals to desist from illegal activities.
- Ayoola Michael, the command’s Public Relations Officer, stated the suspects would be charged in court or transferred to another agency after investigations.
